Accredited Annealing Services

Annealing Services - Nadcap Accredited

Annealing is a technique used to relax stresses within a metal. Annealing typically results in a soft, ductile metal that is easier to shape. Our annealing services include full anneal heat treating, allowing the annealed part to cool in the furnace, and normalizing heat treating, which allow the annealed part to cool in air. We also offer other NADCAP accredited heat treatment services such as brazing, sintering, and diffusion bonding.

Annealing is a heat treating process that produces equilibrium in a material by heating and maintaining the material at a specific temperature, then cooling the material very slowly. The rate of cooling determines some of the properties of the final, annealed material. Although annealing generally results in a soft, ductile metal, it is also used to relieve internal stresses and refine the crystalline structure the material.

The high temperature of annealing can result in oxidation of the metal's surface. To prevent this from happening, we provide annealing services in our high temperature industrial furnaces in both vacuum and inert atmosphere conditions. Our annealing services produce very clean parts that are safe for use in the aerospace, medical, and military industries.
