Heat Treat Annealing ServicesOne of the many ways we can heat treat material is through annealing. Annealing is a heat treatment intended to alter the properties of a material, changing strength and hardness. During annealing the material involved is heated and maintained at a suitable temperature for a specific amount of time, then allowed to cool at a pre-determined rate. Annealing is used to induce softness, relieve internal stresses, and refine the structure of the metal involved. As with other heat treatments, our annealing services are NADCAP accredited. Annealing is one of many ways to heat treat various metals, and can be used to improve machineabilty, facilitate cold working, improve the mechanical or electrical properties of a material, and increase the stability of material dimensions. Because our annealing services are carried out in vacuum or inert atmosphere furnaces, oxidation and scale are eliminated, resulting in clean, bright annealed parts. This eliminates post-anneal cleaning of the part. We can heat treat parts to aerospace, medical, automotive and military specifications. Our annealing and other heat treatment services can all be performed to custom order. We can perform our annealing services on a variety of metallics. Our annealing services are NADCAP accredited. We can also perform brazing, diffusion bonding, sintering, and many other heat treating services. |
