Heat Treating: Hydrogen Heat Treating ServicesOur atmospheric heat treating services typically use a hydrogen atmosphere, but we can also use vacuum, nitrogen, argon, and helium. Atmospheric heat treating is typically used to prevent oxidation of the parts. Parts subject to heat treating in hydrogen or other inert atmospheres do not discolor or collect scale and generally do not need to be cleaned after heat treating. Different atmospheres are used for different metals and different types of heat treating. Our hydrogen heat treating services can be provided to aerospace, medical, automotive and military specifications and can be used for all of our heat treating services. All of our heat treating services are NADCAP accredited. |
